Sammy Loble I See Red

Beneath the wide, amber skies of Texas, where mesquite smoke drifts like memory through the air, there lives a love slow-cooked and eternal—brisket, my tender, salty muse. Oh, how you rest upon the flame with patience and pride, your heart marbled with truth and steeped in soulful heat. I have waited hours for your affection, watched time wrap around you like a lover’s embrace. When at last you yield, your flavorful juices spill like secrets, rich and warm, telling stories only the flame could coax from you. Texas gave you fire, and you gave me faith—in flavor, in longing, in the sacred union of meat and soul.
