August Ames Goodbye Kitty - 1
Here is what I know about August Ames. She was never a diva to me even though she had every right to be. She was loyal to her agent, which is unusually rare in the adult industry. Energy, enthusiasm, and joy emanated from August every time I photographed her. She cared deeply about her family. She did things in her life that most would consider filthy, but August was brave enough not to hide them. I will always think of her as a kind-hearted person. I don't know exactly why she took her own life, but I know people can and probably should be nicer to one another. Even online.

Grumpy308 You are an absolute fucking idiot. What about the welfare of the people she passed judgment on? Is there not a higher rate of HIV and AIDS in the gay community? You fucking idiot. She was harassed because she was looking out for her well being. You don't know the porn industry she did. AIDS is sexually transmitted disease and she has sex for a living. She had every right to have a concern. The rest of the world shouldn't have to bend the knee to appease a bunch of fragile gay dudes who live in denial and put people at risk.

#rip I don't disagree with everyone; however I do agree with everyone including Zach. Call me hypocrite. I really don't care. But we ( humanity ) have yo accept the fact. To Agree that we Disagree & vice versa. Not tryna spoil the mood, but Mental Health is very serious business; too many ignore to often.its time we stop acting like the actors in Adult Ind are " Immune " to it. - my 2 cents . God Speed Ms.August Ames.

This post seems a bit morbid and opportunistic. I wish you'd thought a bit more before posting this one.

The ethics of posting this seem questionable. I don't buy the argument that you're honoring her legacy when you're posting porn (sorry - you prefer the euphemism, "erotica") so that guys can jerk off. No offense intended. I just think it's in poor taste.

Didn't think we'd see another set from her, but I'm glad it was this one. While I personally think she had a little too much surgery done in her later years, she still oozed sexuality, as the last few pics in the white outfit suggest. It was a messy situation, and while I can see and understand the frustration from her comments leading up to her death, to say her death was justified or on her is 100% wrong. She was somebody struggling with mental health issues who was harassed and bullied until she couldn't take it anymore. It can't be "her body, her choice" only until a woman says something you don't agree with. The statement has to be universal.

Shit she rocked those tighty whiteys though! Such a shame she seems so vibrant and full of life. RIP

Nice words Zach; nicely put. Because men are so visual, it's easy sometimes to see women for their aesthetic assets and forget for a few minutes that they're real people with real lives and real complexities behind the scenes. This is why Zishy is so cool; it's never hard core or demeaning. And I think you excel at showing the millions of ways women are awesome. We need to take care to value those we're lucky enough to know. If even for the length of a photo shoot. RIP

Wow, that's terrible. I only just read the caption today. I totally agree, people should be nicer to each other. Too much hate in the world. RIP August. :(

I see the ad for ALS Angels, it did sting the person running the site something awful. He was not happy :( ALS has lost a few models but think that was the most heartfelt since Ember left (think that was her name, he's removed her from the site because she has a daughter) August Ames was a goof and we goofs have dark area so we like to make others laugh :) it usually helps but not always.

So miss her. She had fun off the side of a bed. Shame there are such vile people out in the world. You can say the worst things and not all of us are immune :( Hence why I don't like the racist comments elsewhere here. But he's just making a fool of himself vs what was told to her in a possible one on one moment :( He should be in jail.

wow this is in poor taste. It's nice to see her smiling naturally, to remember her in that light, why not just leave it there, fully clothed ?

The circumstances don't matter. She was a true human and free spirit. Always too soon. May she find peace.

Extremely sad that such a beautiful young person took her life. She is in my prayers. I hope she is in yours.

This woman simply wanted to protect herself from potential disease and for that she was bullied by a gang of progressive faggots who believe that a woman should have no right to refuse a sex scene. How incredibly progressive of them. Of course when they were called out for their behavior they played the victim card.

I don’t really know what to say it’s really very sad when anyone takes their own life when you stop and think about everyone she has left behind! ❤️❤️

It's very sad that she ended her own life. What a beautiful young lady. I do hav a suggestion that would pay tribute, and even honor the late Ms. Ames, and that is put photo #11 from this set as the 'header' pic. Ms. Halladays pic is lovely, but I think this would be a nice gesture to and show she won't be forgotten.

It was a shock to hear she had passed away
Grumpy0308 - about 1 year ago
She got called out for making rather nasty comments herself. What about the welfare of those she presumed to pass judgment against? It's sad that she chose to end her life, but it certainly wasn't required by the situation. Statements she made seem to indicate that she had a long struggle with mental health issues. This certainly seemed to be a catalyzing event, but then again, in this type of situation there always is a catalyzing event. Here response the situation belongs exclusively to her, as do the consequences.
